Admissions
Princeton Latin/Science Academies offer rolling admissions: we accept new applications throughout the calendar year. In addition, we are willing to accept transfer students, under certain circumstances, throughout the academic year.
The interview process and visit are the best measurement of your child’s abilities and capabilities—your child is a person after all, deserving of a chance to prove their worth, not on paper, but in person. And is our goal to educate them.
Procedures for Applying to the Princeton Latin and Science Academies
Interview/Tour The most important part of the admission process at the academies is the first step: tour and interview. A physical tour of the two schools is imperative and informative: it allows for both prospective parents and students to meet future classmates and teachers. In addition, a tour will include the presence of at least one current parent. The interview is a simple procedure, whereby the headmaster meets with the prospective parents and students separately. During the summer and vacation periods, Mr. Perrulli is willing to schedule in-house interviews.
Visit Following the tour and an interview, we highly recommend a day-long visit: so unique are our schools that a prospective student should experience firsthand a day at Princeton Latin and Science Academies. Sometimes, however, this is not possible, especially during summer months; therefore, we will schedule time with current parents and students during the interview process.
Application If everyone is in agreement—headmaster, prospective parents and students—of your child’s place at the academies, then your child will be formally invited to join Princeton Latin Academy or Princeton Science Academy. You affirm your child’s acceptance by signing a contract, filling out an application and paying a $500 non-refundable deposit. Please note, before signing our contract you must have met all financial obligations at your child’s current school.
Tuition Upon signing a contract with Princeton Latin Academy, you are obligated to make two tuition payments. You can now download our 2010-2011 tuition costs and schedule. Please note, there will be a monthly non-tuition related invoice sent out in order to cover the cost of books, supplies, class trips, after-school hours, etc., the annual total of which may be between $500-$2000.
Financial Aid Currently we are not able to provide financial aid.
Testing, Recommendations, Transcripts, etc. Because of our unique curriculum and pedagogy, and because of our commitment to teaching children, we do not use test scores, placement testing, recommendations or current transcripts as the basis for your child’s acceptance (unless special circumstances require it). The interview process and visit are the best measurement of your child’s abilities and capabilities—your child is a person after all, deserving of a chance to prove their worth, not on paper, but in person. And is our goal to educate them.

The Carter Family
"Our son just could not concentrate in a large group setting such as the public school provided. Here at PLA he can get the individual attention that he needs and has prospered both intellectually and socially from this little school in the woods!"
The Sutton Family
"Princeton Latin Academy is the best kept secret among private schools in central New Jersey. The school is a place where children of all ages are nurtured and encouraged to seek the knowledge provided by a truly classical education."
