A Call to Action!

      As part of the Princeton Latin Academy family, you share our belief that a classical/liberal-arts education is the only true education: one that presupposes the study of ancient Greek and Latin, not in any esoteric way, but rather in its cultural, literate and rational foundation of our Western society. It is from this font of knowledge that philosophy, law, art, music, literature, mathematics and science have flourished since the days of the Renaissance. Out of this tradition was born our great nation. Princeton Latin Academy Foundation was established to preserve and foster the ideal of a classical education.

      Education is not just a business for us at PLA. It is a calling, a quest. There is no greater vocation than that of teaching children: a sacred trust. We all know that our students are better off because of the education that they have received. This education allows our students to have a positive effect on the communities in which they live and upon the nation as a whole, for they are able to think and feel for themselves. Now, more than ever, we need citizens with the background that PLA provides.

      In order to provide you with an opportunity to help in our important work, we have formed Princeton Latin Academy Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity. The foundation’s mission is to promote a classical/liberal-arts education in the USA. PLA Foundation will provide additional scholarships to students of PLA, also teacher training grants and awards for research and publication.

      It is only fitting and just to ask of you, both students and parents, who have benefited from a classical education, to participate in the spread of this worthy cause by contributing to Princeton Latin Academy Foundation.
